Accessibility Policy

Accessibility Policy

Effective Date: June 23, 2026

The MUSC Foundation for Research Development d/b/a Zucker Institute for Innovation Commercialization ("Zucker Institute," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying relevant accessibility standards to make our website, www.zuckerinnovation.org, accessible to all users.

1. Our Commitment

We believe that everyone should be able to access and benefit from the information and services on our Website, regardless of ability or technology. We are committed to applying universal design principles and to maintaining an inclusive online experience.

2. Conformance Standards

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities. We continue to work toward full conformance and to review our content as standards evolve.

3. Measures We Take

To support accessibility, we:

  • Consider accessibility as part of our website design and content practices
  • Review new and updated content with accessibility in mind
  • Use semantic structure, descriptive link text, and alternative text for meaningful images where applicable
  • Aim to maintain sufficient color contrast and keyboard navigability

4. Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. In particular:

  • Some third-party tools or embedded content (such as video players or event registration platforms) may not be fully within our control.
  • Some older documents, including certain legacy PDFs, may not meet current accessibility standards. We are working to update or replace these over time, and we will provide the information in an alternative format on request.

5. Feedback and Contact

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of our Website. If you encounter an accessibility barrier or are unable to access any content, please let us know. When contacting us, please include the web address (URL) of the page and a description of the issue so we can assist you as quickly as possible.
